I did something similar when I heard about Safari's multi background support ( http://event-horizon.twiddles.com/sites/experimental/css3-bg/ ). Since then I've discovered that Nokia's S60 browser (which like Safari is based on Webkit) can do this too. I suppose the iPhone browser probably can too. Nice article.
